The Birth of FACTORY01
We believe that printing is a creative craft, and the work we produce stands apart from traditional commercial printing. With that vision in mind, we wanted to create a place where printed works could be made together with artists and creators, and that idea gave birth to FACTORY01.
Taruto Shirafuji
As the founder of Hitori Construction Co., Ltd., Taruto Shirafuji has worked on the interior design of a wide range of shops and offices, while also contributing to numerous film art productions. Since 2002, he has served as the director of the “Yatai Village” spaces—interactive areas featuring food stands, drinks, and live performances—for productions by the theater company Ishin-ha. He also worked as the art director for two of the company's productions. His work has earned him trust and recognition from many in the industry.
Hiromi Karishu
Born in Osaka in 1959, Hiromi Karishu began his artistic activities in 1994, creating marker-only line drawings through an improvised, freeform performance style. His work has been carried out in a wide variety of spaces, from streets and restaurants to galleries and museums.
What began as abstract expression gradually evolved into highly detailed artwork, and he became known for his ability to complete massive mural pieces in remarkably short periods of time. He has held numerous solo exhibitions and has produced many works both in Japan and internationally.
Koji Yata
With the guiding principles of turning “impossible” into “possible,” Koji Yata is known for pioneering new forms of foil printing expression, including the innovative S Prism Print® technique.
He actively collaborates with a wide range of entertainment and creative projects, approaching creativity from the unique perspective of printing.
In recent years, he has also been collaborating with other creators to publish the intriguing "PLANT ARTMAGAZINE".
